Superman Red Son is an entertaining adaption of one of Superman’s famous comic book stories. It is fun to watch, but true fans of the graphic novel may be left wanting more.
Red Son asks the question, what if Superman landed in the Soviet Union as a child instead of United States. How would Communist ideology change Superman’s character? Without standing for Truth, Justice, and the American way, what would he be a symbol of?
The animation is good, but not on par with DC’s past animated motion pictures. The story seems to be a bit diluted to ensure a younger audience. If you are a true fan of Superman, read the graphic novel, skip the movie.
